Bagel care
This is a fresh, all-natural product made with love in North London. Since there are no preservatives of any kind, leaving these out of the bag for more than 1 day will make them stale. Make sure yours bags are sealed!
Enjoy a fresh bagel or two now, andfreeze the rest. These fresh bagels freeze wonderfully in the plastic bags and will last many months when frozen.
For both protection and as a convenient way to freeze, we place our bagels in plastic bags after cooling. BUT… the lack of air in the plastic sleeve can affect quality in transit, especially in warm weather. Take your bagels out of the plastic bag and let them breathe for 10 minutes prior to eating or toasting. This exposure to air helps restore the proper consistency throughout.
When you’re ready to enjoy another fresh bagel after freezing:1. Take out of the freezer and defrost for 25-30 minutes. 2. Preheat your over to 200°C3. Place bagels on a baking pan and bake for 3-4 minutesThis method will provide the crispy outside and soft chewy inside of an authentic Bagel Bakery bagel. (Any bagels not enjoyed after heating up this way, must be discarded)Alternatively…Slice your bagels before freezing and just pop them in the toaster from frozen for a perfectly toasted bagel.
Nothing destroys the proper texture and consistency of a real bagel like microwaving!
